Volleyball Training for Players & Coaches

We are so grateful for Coach Chijo and the impact he has had on our daughter, both as a volleyball player and as a young woman. After working with him through private lessons, we have seen tremendous growth in her skills, understanding of the game, and overall confidence on the court. What really stands out is that Coach Chijo doesn’t just focus on technique—he takes the time to understand the player, encourage them, and help them believe in themselves. Our daughter has become a more confident, determined, and well-rounded player because of his guidance. It has been amazing to watch her confidence grow and see her approach the game with a completely different mindset. We truly appreciate the time, patience, knowledge, and encouragement Coach Chijo has given her. Coach Chijo brings a refreshing approach to coaching clinics while keeping volleyball fun for all skill levels. If you ever have the chance to bring him to your town for an event, your kids and families will never forget it! He’s attended several of our events and is so giving of his time while teaching kids new drills and techniques.

I highly recommend Coach Chijo! My daughters started lessons with Coach Chijo about 3 years ago and have continued with lessons through out. He has helped them take their game to the next level and beyond. I contribute their high skill level to Coach Chijo’s lessons. He help build their foundation. It has been a pivotal moment in their VB journey. He is patient and explains the techniques in a way that helps the player understand. Besides teaching the basic techniques he also helps players understand the game that most coaches don’t spend time on. He truly pushes the player to elevate their game. I highly recommend Coach Chijo!

Coach Chijo is awesome! I first noticed Coach Chijo when my daughter was playing for a 12s team at northwest elite. We played against him and actually beat his team. But something about his coaching caught my interest. I started seeing his videos on instagram. I loved how he broke down in detail how to adjust your game and make it better. I brought my daughter to one of his open gyms and she ended up playing for him for a season before he retired from coaching. We had the most amazing season and ended up 2nd place in all of the region. Beyond volleyball, he was very strict with the team. He only wanted them to eat healthy snacks during tournaments. No “C” foods: chips, cookies, candy, etc. He also set expectations of players to be on time (be early), sleep early before tournaments, and be responsible for communicating your own absences. This carried over to the next year when my daughter wasn’t playing for him. She would say, “no I can’t have that during volleyball season”. She would go to bed early before tournaments. She became responsible in these aspects at only 12 years old because of his teaching! I was very impressed!

My daughter has just started lessons with coach Chijo and it has been a great experience! He is patient, and breaks down the fundamentals in an easy way for my daughter to understand. I believe that’s a huge part of coaching, and we are already seeing results! I even learn a lot as a parent watching his lessons too. We are fortunate to have gotten into his clinics! Thanks Chijo!!

We are grateful for the impact this coach has had on our daughter. Years ago, he helped her develop into the confident, passionate player she is today and, more importantly, taught her to truly love the game. Even years later, he continues to support, guide, and believe in her while genuinely caring about her on and off the court. His volleyball knowledge, ability to connect with athletes, and genuine investment in their growth sets him apart. We are so thankful for the lasting impact he continues to have on her.

What an awesome time we had while Coach Chijo was here! The kids learned a lot, and I learned a ton as a coach. I love taking bits and pieces of what I hear from everyone and applying it to my program. Coach Chijo has so many little gold nuggets that I am implementing this year. He was also awesome to work with, his team is super organized!

Coach Chijo put on an incredible Cosching clinic. His experience and perspective on leading and growing the game of volleyball is 2nd to none. So grateful to get the time and experience from him and look forward to applying several of the things I learned with our team this year. Thank you Coach!

My daughter felt Chijo’s hitting clinic really broke down the skills necessary to become a more effective hitter. She was excited to play and practice what she’d learned!

Coach Chijo put on an amazing camp in Richland, WA. My daughter and her friend learned so much from all the coaches. We are thankful and blessed that we were able to attend both days and to get so much knowledge and new skills from these camps. Thank you Coach Chijo and team!!!!
